Crew information summary.

The initial 6-man crew formed at 27 Operational Training Unit (27 OTU) Lichfield in early July 1944, and trained in Wellington Bombers. They were posted to Acaster Malbis on 20 October 1944. On 7 November 1944, they were posted to 1658 Heavy Conversion Unit (1658 H.C.U.) Riccall, where Flight Engineer Ron JOHNSTON would have joined the crew. At Riccall, they trained in Halifax Bombers.

On 16 March 1945, the crew of seven were posted to 462 Squadron, Foulsham. They carried out 8 Ops – on the 2nd, 4th, 9th, 13th, 15th, 16th, 18th and 22nd April 1945. The "four Ops in six nights" referred to on the reverse of the crew photo (dated 24 April 1945), may have been the four from 13th to 18th April 1945.

All members of this crew survived the war.
